Planning tips & FAQ
When’s the best time of year for taking photos in Colorado?
Is all year long an acceptable answer?
Winter is great for hiking to a frozen lake and capturing a bit of serenity.
Spring is a bit unpredictable, but I do love that first bit of green that starts budding on the trees.
Summer is peak adventure season, grab your boots, let's go for a hike.
Fall? Well, nothing beats a Colorado fall. Aspen groves glowing bright yellow. Fantastic.
When's the best time of Day for taking portraits in a Colorado mountain town?
My favorite time is shortly after sunrise when the light is still golden and the birds are chirping. I am also a big fan of grabbing breakfast after a shoot, before heading home for an afternoon nap.
If you're not a morning person, sunsets are pretty dope, too.
What should we wear or pack?
Comfortable and sturdy shoes are a must, and a big bottle of water. Everything else is negotiable!
Do we need a permit for photography?
None of these particular sites listed require a permit, But sometimes, to get where you REALLY want to go, you need to pull one. But fret not fine wanderers, permits are part of my base elopement package, so I have you covered!
