Mike and Robyn's Intimate Wedding at Avogadro's Number
Some weddings just feel like pure magic — and Mike and Robyn’s big day at Avogadro’s Number in Fort Collins was exactly that. It was personal, fun, a little quirky, and full of love from the very first bloom to the final bubbles.
Mike is an electrical engineer, a dedicated plant dad, and secretly an incredible chef. Robyn is a genius professor at CSU and an expert in plant pathology (basically, she’s helping keep the world’s food supply safe — no big deal). Together, they’re a perfect blend of smarts, heart, and humor.

Location Scouting
Avogadro’s Number — or “Avo’s” — isn’t your typical wedding venue. It’s a local Fort Collins favorite: part bar, part music venue, and part art installation. Inside, every wall tells a story, with hand-painted murals everywhere you look — including a giant Star Trek Enterprise soaring through space (a fun nod to Mike and Robyn’s love of science and curiosity).
The outdoor stage and gazebo, normally used for live shows, made a perfect backdrop for their ceremony. It felt like stepping into a little world of their own — with greenery, music, laughter, and joy in the air.

A Bit About the Blooms
One of the most heartfelt touches? All of the florals at the wedding were grown by Mike and Robyn themselves. Early in their relationship, Mike gave Robyn a packet of seeds — and over time, those seeds turned into the beautiful blooms that filled the space. From bouquets to table arrangements, every flower was grown with love, and it showed.
It wasn’t just pretty — it was meaningful. A reminder that beautiful things grow when you nurture them.

Party Mode Engaged
After the ceremony, the celebration took off. The space turned into a full-on party, with dancing, drinks, and happy guests spilling into the bar space. Even a few of Avo’s regulars joined in the fun, adding to the good vibes.
And then... came that moment. A passerby outside the venue decided to moon the groom’s parents and aunt — an uninvited guest who made an unforgettable impression. It was one of those “did that really just happen?” moments, and honestly, it only made the night more memorable. Everyone roared with laughter.

To wrap up the night, Mike and Robyn made their exit through a tunnel of glowing bubbles, surrounded by friends, music, and a ton of love. It was simple, joyful, and perfectly them.
